The original painting is a desert inspired landscape, deeply layered in earthy caramels, creams, and grays. Dune was painted on canvas in 2011 and digitally captured shortly after.

The results of that first test print was shocking. The texture translated so well to the canvas I remember touching it, expecting to feel some of the original paint and layers.

I could enlarge the painting, create variations from diptychs to triptychs...the possibilities were truly endless. Dune helped me develop and define my mixed media options. Through years of custom requests Dune continues to live on in it's various forms as a top selling work.
